A MOMENT TO CELEBRATE THE ORDINARY

Somehow, the world has now given birth to a sense that there ain’t no room for the ordinary. People must always be proving that they are special. And unique. And excellent. All the time… We ain’t gonna live a happy life if don’t follow those standards people shows us.

(I never am a brilliant at making an intro, I know that, and so be it.)

We live in the world of the extraordinary. Clearly. The internet, I mean the social media constantly exposed us to others’ awesome lives, achievements, and other remarkable stuffs. Well ya, in this case I believe that social media is both a pleasure and an unbreakable curse. All of that leaves us some feeling like maybe we are not quite up to the mark, doesn’t it?

The current living culture says that we are all meant to do extraordinary stuffs. It insist that we all can be extraordinary, that we all deserve greatness. But then, how can we still be an extraordinary if every other single person is also extraordinary? Quite contradictory, right? We tend to shy away, afraid to accept being an ordinary as if it suggests accepting the ordinary means that we will never achieve anything worthwhile.

But wait..

We tend to do things because we enjoy doing that and that’s all good. We know we can’t never be good enough to master the stuffs we keep on doing, so what!? That’s all just for fun. Having some fun and being happy never requires you to be someone exceptional. I believe that nothing else is worth my happiness. Why do we need to follow the standards we don’t make?

All the stuffs I said and I didn’t mean to show you that it’s okay to be a lazy person. A BIG NO!! It’s just that it’s okay to be an ordinary. It’s okay not to be as good as someone you look up to. Well, it’s okay that we don’t shine every day. We will still shine. Somewhere. Someday. Not today maybe, but we will. It’s okay.

Let’s celebrate the ordinary.

.

Hope this ordinary writing worths the name of this blog.
